When we last left Elsabeth...
Elsabeth is haunted on the night before her journey by strange dreams:     
Eye of the Goddess, you can see me, and I see you. What did it mean? I
know he must be taken from me, but that will be years from now.
  The silver moon shone down silently, giving no reply.
The story continues...
     “Good morning, Sisters!” Devron called out. “We’ve made all the
requested preparations. The men have taken down the camp, and three
chariots are ready to seat you.” He smiled as they approached. “I trust your
night was a pleasant one?”  
Elsabeth nodded slowly. “I think we all slept well, Standard-Bearer.” She
forced her eyes open, hoping no one would notice her fatigue.
