The Six Companions 

Elsabeth, daughter of Arzell. Elsabeth is the Chosen of the Goddess, daughter of Arzell, the High Priestess of Harrekh. She has recently been the Head Priestess of the Temple of Learning.

Legrens, son of Leah. Legrens is a Guardian in the service of War-Lord Darran. He is originally from Avram's Crossing.

Nehbla, daughter of Nehala. Nehbla is one of Elsabeth's star pupils. 

Devron, son of Lekidi. Devron, the Standard-Bearer of Harrekh, is the son of War-Lord Darran.

Dela, daughter of Keela. Dela is the oldest living priestess in Harrekh. She is a former Head Priestess of the Temple of Learning, and has taught generations of novices there.

Kharaz, son of Khela. Kharaz is a Warrior in the service of War-Lord Darran.

Other important characters

Arzell, daughter of Zelia. The High Priestess of Harrekh, and Elsabeth's mother. She has authority over all of the Priestesses.

Darran, son of Elana. The War-Lord of Harrekh, and Devron's father.  He has authority over all of the Warriors and Guardians.

Lionnah, daughter of Lianni. A powerful priestess from southern Harrekh.

Aneth, daughter of Lionnah. High Priestess Arzell's chief of staff.

Meylenne. A powerful priestess from the Borderlands.

Yuval. Meylenne's husband.

Meydelle. Meylenne's daughter.

Meydon. Meylenne's son.
